Making great things happen in the Great Outdoors!

I’m Martin Chester, a qualified international mountain guide, leading coach, and adventure sport consultant. There are very few people as highly qualified and broadly experienced in all aspects of the outdoors as I am.

I have a passion for helping people get active outdoors, whether that be through inspirational guided trips, personalised coaching, training the coaches and leaders of the future, or sharing industry expertise.

I have an unrivalled range of experience at your service, as I hope you'll find throughout these pages. Everything I do is bespoke, and designed for your specific requirements. So if you think I might be able to help, then get in touch - I look forward to hearing from you.

Seeking fresh tracks above Engelberg

I believe people are capable of more than they realise. If you have a dream adventure in mind, whether it's skiing, mountaineering, rock climbing, kayaking or biking, I have the skills, experience, and qualifications to help make it happen.

I'll work with you to tailor your trip to your requirements: it's all about sharing adventures, and discovering brand new places and experiences together.  And I have a lifetime of ideas to get you inspired.

Productive and engaging delivery

Current, yet creative, I’m experienced in researching, reviewing, developing, and reporting on a wide variety of outdoor-sector projects, from boardroom strategy to shop floor delivery.

As an industry expert who can eloquently and simply explain a complex subject, I'm a go-to person for keynote presentations and workforce training.

Coaching for all

I pride myself on my real-world application of coaching process expertise. I've been helping people unlock their potential and training the coaches of the future for over twenty-five years, placing the participant at the heart of the process.

Whether you're looking for individual performance coaching, high quality coach-education, or something in between, I can help.

Martin is the best ski mountaineering guide I have worked with. He goes the extra mile to understand the capabilities of everyone in the group and make sure that everyone achieves what they want to on every trip. He is always keen to share his knowledge on routes, weather, snow conditions and anything else that will make us better ski mountaineers in the future.

When the Sports Minster appointed me to co-chair a National Strategy for Outdoor Recreation, which in turn meant a research project in partnership with Sport England, I could think of no better research consultant to turn to than Martin. His knowledge and contacts in the outdoor recreation industry are outstanding and he really help mould the research project, which in turn made a big impact on the governments sport strategy and the inclusion of outdoor recreation.
